Director
Barry joined Hawkes when he left school in 1982. Born in 1966, he has had various training within the industry and works alongside his brother David Hawkes. Barry generally runs installations, specialist projects, and the day-to-day running of the company.
Contracts Manager
Mark started with Hawkes in May 1988. He began as a trainee engineer and has progressed to a contracts manager handling contracts to a value of £1.8 million a year. Mark is fully focused on customer care and problem solving.
Installation Engineer
Steve started with Hawkes in April 2004. His college was completed prior to joining us. Steve is a very skilled engineer who can turn his talented hands to most things. Our clients have always commented on how helpful and knowledgeable he is.
Service Engineer
Philip Jacobs, a fully trained and qualified service refrigeration engineer, joined Hawkes in April 2010. An excellent fault finder and problem solver, he delivers fast, reliable results every time — nicknamed Phil-the-Fridge.
Managing Director (1966–2017)
Martin founded Hawkes in 1966. Born in 1939, he was the mastermind behind the company’s success. We miss him dearly. RIP Father — 15th September 1939 to 14th September 2017.
Contracts Manager
Dean started with Hawkes at 18 after completing his electrical apprenticeship with Thurrock Technical College. He is a fully qualified electrician and HVAC contracts manager.
Admin Manager
Kirstie joined Hawkes from leaving school in 2007. She manages customer help desk operations, general accounts, and key office duties. She is a joyful, personable team member and is always happy to help.
Help Desk Coordinator
Jo joined us in February 2015. She coordinates the help desk and helps run admin and office operations with Kirstie. She is an asset to us all — very hardworking, reliable, and always happy to help.
Director
Dave joined the Hawkes team as a trainee in 1983 after leaving school. While working on the tools he was responsible for maintaining Queen Mary College at Mile End, London. He now works alongside his brother Barry and leads the service department and day-to-day company operations.
Training Manager & Senior Engineer
Martin started working with Hawkes when he left school. He has progressed into one of the most respected engineers in the industry, with knowledge from 50 years of service that is second to none.
Service Engineer
Dean Hawkes, son of David, joined after leaving school to begin his 3-year apprenticeship. He gained a Level 3 NVQ in refrigeration and air conditioning and brings a unique skill set with a positive outlook to life.
Apprentice Engineer
Finley joined Hawkes in December 2022 and enrolled with Willesden College as a refrigeration and air conditioning service and installation engineer. His keen interest in mechanical and electrical systems supports his progress toward a Level 3 NVQ.
